More Information about Wharf Walk:
LDRC is celebrating our 7th Annual Wharf Walk in style with a Wearable Art Show. We would like to thank our sponsors: City of LaBelle, Hendry County Tourism, and Belle Realty for making this year's event possible.
A wearable art show melds art and fashion, using the human form as a kinetic part of an artistic piece.
Wearable art shows have recently become wildly popular in small communities like ours, as it makes us an “art destination” for those looking for something innovative and off-the-beaten-path. Great art destinations are marked by the presence of a combination of many artistic and cultural assets - among them, a centrifugal “event” or festival that draws from outside the immediate area. That is what we are hoping to create with the Wharf Walk Wearable Art Show. The theme of this event, that the artists will use for inspiration while creating their piece is, “a sense of community”. We think this theme encompasses what the LDRC is always working towards, and we cannot wait to see how the artists decide to display their points of view.
Sponsorship Opportunities are available. Please contact Kelly Boone, Executive Director of LDRC, for more information at 863-225-2749 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
